We have had many interesting and knowledgeable guest speakers at our meetings such as Doug McRory, our Provincial Apiarist as well as research professors and students from the University of Guelph Apiculture Department, manufacturers and suppliers of beekeeping equipment and some of our own experienced members. We also have open meetings where our members can discuss their ideas, practices and questions they might have regarding beekeeping.

We have meetings once a month for eight months of the year starting in April ending in November, usually the second Monday of the month. We have recently been holding our meetings at the Kortright Centre in Vaughan. Our newsletter is either emailed or mailed out monthly to our members describing location, date, time and the meetings agenda.

                      Dr. TIBOR SZABO & SON QUEEN BEE BREEDER/BEE PLANT SEED

 Fascinated by bees even as a boy in Hungary, this research scientist at the Beaverlodge, Alberta Research Station has since received international recognition for his research into honeybees. He is best known for his development of the Alberta Bee, a superior strain of honeybee with high honey production and the ability to survive Prairie winters which is proving to be of immense value to Western honey producers
